Sheena Strawter-Anthony grew up in New York and Ohio. Growing up, she was well aware of her wealth, or better yet, the lack of. As early as age three, she started asking her mom questions about the disparities that were in front of face. She used to think that the answer to her questions was strictly in knowing how to manage money. However, after decades of working in finance, she has accepted that the issue is way more complex.

She was introduced to the world of finance in high school. She participated in several financial programs and ended up with an internship at an Investment Bank on Wall Street. Every year until she graduated from Hampton University (HU), she interned in different areas of finance and upon graduation was hired into the Leadership Development Program at the Vanguard Group.

At Vanguard, she found a home in Asset Management where she recommended investment strategies. She was determined to learn as much as possible and eventually decided to go to Europe to study international finance. She went to France, obtained her MBA from Edhec Business School, then to London and worked for Goldman Sachs in Global Investment Research where she analyzed equity investments.

In spite of all these wonderful experiences, she was unable to rest. Whether she was in France, the UK or home in the States, she noticed how the effects of colonialism, racism, sexism, etc. loomed over her. Upon this realization, she shifted her focus. While managing projects at Life Insurers, Investment Banks and Wealth Managers, she learned how to heal her wounds from the ism’s. She studied alternative healing techniques and obtained her Reiki certification.

Sheena believes that in order to create generational wealth, we must first Feel Good. We must heal our trauma and free our minds from all the ish society has thrown at us. Her goal is to inspire Colorful Wealth by (1) healing our relationship with money (2) providing business and financial guidance and (3) managing sustainable investments.
